OREANDA-NEWS. The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan have resumed shelling of the positions of the Armenian military.

This was reported by the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan. “After a break of two or three hours in the morning, the enemy resumed provocative actions, continuing to fire in the direction of the Armenian position,” he wrote on Facebook. According to her, Armenia gave a “proportionate answer.” The Ministry of Defense did not rule out an increase in the number of losses among the Azerbaijani.

The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan also announced the continuation of fighting on the border on the night of July 13. According to Baku, the Azerbaijani artillery, mortars and tanks destroyed a strong point, artillery, vehicle equipment and manpower in the territory of the military unit of the enemy.

On July 12, armed clashes occurred on the Azerbaijani–Armenian state border. Both sides accused each other of aggression. According to Baku, three Azerbaijani soldiers were killed. Yerevan claimed that there were no injured among Armenian servicemen.
