OREANDA-NEWS. Yerevan, if necessary, is ready to turn to Moscow for new deliveries of Russian weapons, but there is no talk of this yet, Armenian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Vardan Toganyan, told reporters of the news agency RIA Novosti.

He recalled that the day before, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held talks with Sergey Lavrov, “to inform them about the situation, to present the vision of the Armenian government, what steps it is taking, about the military plans.” “So far, there is no talk of external military assistance to Armenia,” the Ambassador noted.

At the same time, Toganyan stressed that Yerevan and Moscow are allies, so they have corresponding obligations. “Our military-technical cooperation is developing, the implementation of agreements on the supply of weapons is proceeding normally. Today the situation is changing, now we have a third party, Turkey. If necessary, of course, we will address and resolve this issues [On additional supplies of weapons. – Ed.]. First of all, we will address to Russia,” Toganyan said.
