OREANDA-NEWS. In the battles in Nagorno-Karabakh on October 1, the military shot down an airplane and a helicopter of the Air Forces of Azerbaijan, press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan reported on her Facebook page. “On October 1, units of the Ministry of Defense shot down one more plane and one more helicopter of the enemy,” she wrote, specifying that the helicopter fell into the territory controlled by the Karabakh army.

This is the third message about downed air targets that the Armenian side issued on October 1. First, it was about an Azerbaijani helicopter which was shot down and crashed in the territory of Iran. Later, a representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry said that three helicopters of the Azerbaijani Air Forces were brought down.

At the same time, Baku informed that all military planes and helicopters are in service and denied information about the downed aircrafts.
