Arkhangelsk Acting Minister of Education was Detained for Indecent Assault
OREANDA-NEWS As the press service of the regional government of Arkhangelsk region told, law enforcement officers detained the acting Minister of Education of the Region, Yuri Gnedyshev, on suspicion of lecherous acts against minors.
Earlier, a law enforcement source told that Gnedyshev was detained on suspicion of pedophilia, and in the near future he may be charged.
The acting minister was detained under article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A search was carried out in his office, the system unit, telephones, electronic media were seized. He was detained for 48 hours.

Yuri Gnedyshev was appointed Acting Minister instead of Oleg Polukhin, who had left his post at the end of August. On Thursday, he wrote a letter of leave, followed by dismissal.
This official in December 2019 corresponded with two underage schoolgirls on a social network, exerting a corrupting influence on them, and also sent one of the schoolgirls a link to a video of a sexual nature.
Now witnesses in the case are being questioned, expert examinations have been appointed, "all contacts of the suspect in the network are being checked." Searches were carried out, items of importance for the case initiated under Part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (lecherous actions against two minors).
The investigating officers will petition the court to choose a preventive measure against the detainee in the form of imprisonment.
