An emergency mode was introduced in a Russian city after a gas explosion

OREANDA-NEWS A municipal emergency mode was introduced in Petrozavodsk after an explosion of household gas in one of the residential buildings. This was announced by the Governor of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov in his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the region, such measures will allow to eliminate the consequences of the incident faster. He added that four victims with injuries of varying severity were taken to the Republican Hospital for Emergency and Emergency Medical Care.
Parfenchikov also noted that the residents of the house on Lunacharsky Street were evacuated. Six people were sent to a dormitory on Pervomaisky Prospekt, two to a sports school dormitory in Studentsky Lane. The rest of the people who preferred to stay with relatives and friends were helped to get to their homes.
A gas explosion in a five-storey residential building in Petrozavodsk occurred on January 6. Due to the pop of the gas-air mixture, the interior wall in one of the apartments collapsed.
