OREANDA-NEWS In Chelyabinsk, an elevator fell in an apartment building, inside which a child was at that moment. The press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region drew attention to the situation in the Russian city.

We are talking about a house located at 109 Universitetskaya Embankment Street. The elevator incident occurred on Saturday, September 28th. According to one of the residents of the house, her neighbor, a 12-year—old boy, warned her that it was dangerous to enter the elevator - it was falling. "I see, he's scared, pale. I sat down to talk to him. He said that, as usual, he went into the entrance, called the elevator to the desired floor, the elevator rose to the 13th floor — and fell sharply down to the seventh floor. I stopped and the doors slowly opened," the woman said.

Upon the incident, the prosecutor's office began checking. Specialists will check the implementation of the norms of housing legislation and assess the work of the management company servicing the house, as well as the actions of officials who are responsible for the proper condition of the elevator equipment.

Earlier in September, it became known that a Russian schoolboy broke his spine due to a landfill at home.
