OREANDA-NEWS  An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in the Kamchatka Territory on Thursday morning, October 10. The fact that tremors were recorded in the Russian region was reported on the website of the regional branch of the federal research center "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences".

The earthquake occurred at 5:22 a.m. local time (20:22 Wednesday Moscow time). Its center lay at a depth of 58 kilometers, and the epicenter was 95 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. At the same time, at 02:30 and 03:18 local time, weaker tremors of magnitude 3.5 and 3.6 were recorded in the region, respectively.

Earlier in October, it became known that two earthquakes occurred in the north of Buryatia with an interval of one minute. It was clarified that residents of the Muisky district felt small tremors.
