OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian diamond mining company ALROSA, at the request of the Indian Council for the Promotion of the Export of Precious Stones and Jewelry (GJEPC), will temporarily suspend the distribution of rough diamonds in September and October 2023, the GJEPC said in a statement.

"This decision was made against the background of concerns about the decline in demand for diamonds on international markets, which leads to interruptions in the work of [lapidary] factories," explained GJEPC.
