Almost 2.6 million voters in Russia voted early

OREANDA-NEWS In total, almost 2.6 million voters across the country took advantage of the opportunity to vote early in the Russian presidential elections, said the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova.
"In total, 2.6 million voters across the country took advantage of the opportunity to vote early," Pamfilova said at the information center of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
Pamfilova also announced data on early voting in new regions.
In the DPR, where early voting took place from February 25 and from March 10 to March 14, according to her data, 1,171,849 voters voted. In the LPR, from February 25 and from March 11 to 14, 326,379 voters voted ahead of schedule. In the Zaporozhye region - from February 25 to March 14 – 242,046 voters. In the Kherson region - from February 27 to March 3 – 280 566 voters.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. The voting will last for three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation apply for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
