OREANDA-NEWS The Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuichenko suggested thinking about additional restrictions for alimony debtors, in addition to including them in the appropriate register.
"We have developed a draft federal law providing for the creation of a separate publicly available register of persons obliged to pay alimony. In November, it was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading. We hope for your support when considering the law at a meeting of the Federation Council. Perhaps we need to think together about additional restrictions for alimony debtors," Chuichenko said during an open dialogue with Valentina Matvienko at the Federation Council.
Earlier, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the creation of a register of alimony debtors, including information about persons brought to administrative and criminal responsibility, as well as those who are wanted.
It is noted that the FSSP will need to regularly exchange data with the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation. According to the explanatory note, the adoption of the bill will lead to "high-quality execution of judicial acts, increase the motivation of debtors to pay alimony."
