Accused of High Treason Was Arrested in Crimea
OREANDA-NEWS. On December 24, an interlocutor of TASS news agency from law enforcement community reported that the officers of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained Russian citizen Ivan Yatskin, accused of high treason, in the city of Simferopol, the Republic of Crimea. He was sent to Moscow for conducting investigative actions. “In early December, the accused was transferred to the capital region to conduct investigative actions with him,” a source said.
The details of the charge are unknown.
In the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow, the journalists of TASS agency were informed that the term of Yatskin’s arrest had been extended by three months until March 16, 2020. According to the court’s representative, the case file did not contain a secrecy stamp, but the court hearing on December 11 was held behind closed doors at the request of the investigation.
