"In the Russian Federation, in the third week of 2024, the incidence of influenza and SARS remained at the level of the previous week. More than 931 thousand cases were registered, which is 0.7% lower than in the previous week," the message published in the department's telegram channel says.

"14.7% of the incidence of influenza and SARS is in Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg, and 85.3% in other regions," Rospotrebnadzor added.

The ministry reported that the number of COVID-19 cases in the Russian Federation decreased by 6.3% compared to the previous week and amounted to over 25 thousand cases. The Omicron sub-variant remains predominant.
