OREANDA-NEWS A Russian T-90M tank with additional lattice screens was spotted in the area of a special military operation (SVO). The corresponding video is published by the Telegram channel "Military Informant".
The video demonstrates the T-90M, which received additional lattice screens on the stern and sides of the hull. The tank also carries screens to protect the roof, the rear of the turret and a remotely controlled anti-aircraft machine gun. Additionally, containers for the installation of dynamic protection elements were fixed on the tower screens.
The T-90M differs from the previous modification of the tank with a new tower module with multi-layer armor, which received a compartment for placing the ammunition outside the combat compartment. The security of the T-90M is provided by the complex of dynamic protection "Relict". Earlier in October, it became known that Uralvagonzavod handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense a batch of T-90M and T-72B3M tanks with additional protection.
In the same month, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, Army General Oleg Salyukov, in an interview with the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, spoke about the use of high-explosive shells "Telnik" by the crews of T-90M tanks during the SVO.
