OREANDA-NEWS The police of the Indian state of Goa arrested a Russian woman on suspicion of possession of drugs and alcohol worth more than 1.68 million Indian rupees (more than 18.9 thousand dollars), the Goan newspaper reports.

According to the newspaper, the detained woman named Alla Rusaeva was in Goa from about 2013-2014 and worked there on a tourist visa as a freelance DJ.

The publication notes that after the raid, 337 grams of liquid ecstasy and 33.16 grams of marijuana were seized in a house rented by a Russian woman in Kerry Park. According to the newspaper, this is the first case of seizure in Goa of a drug known as "date rape drug".

In addition to the Russian woman, a native of the Indian state of Kerala was detained in this case, which was investigated for more than three weeks, with a batch of LSD worth more than 1 million rupees (118.5 thousand dollars).
