OREANDA-NEWS  The founder of Positive Technologies, Yuri Maksimov, became the third Russian dollar billionaire among programmers. This was due to an increase in the value of the company's shares, which rose in price by almost one and a half times in 2024, writes Forbes.

According to the publication, securities of the developer of cybersecurity solutions have increased on the Moscow Exchange since the beginning of the year by 43 percent, to 2,910 rubles. According to journalists, taking into account the market value of the package of 51.88 percent of shares owned by Yuri Maksimov, their value reached almost 100 billion rubles, or 1.08 billion dollars at the exchange rate of the Central Bank. At the time of writing, the value of the securities increased by another 0.34 percent, to 2,963 rubles.

In 2021, when Positive Technologies entered the stock exchange, about 1,400 current and former employees received shares of the issuer, which became part of the motivation program for people who contribute to business development. It was noted that the share of the company's founders eventually decreased, but its value increased incomparably.

Last week, the second in the list of Russian billionaires among software developers was the owner of Astra Linux Denis Frolov, whose assets are estimated at more than $ 1.1 billion. Back in 2015, the founder of Kaspersky Lab, Evgeny Kaspersky, was the first in it.
