The airport "Sosnovy" has been in a normal condition since Soviet times to take it as a basis for construction. But for the time being, the APU will not be allowed to supply aviation equipment, although the Russian side is ready to make an airline here on Rogozin's initiative. Now the construction is impossible, because the Ukrainians are shelling the facility.

"But so far these plans are only in our heads, because the enemy easily hits the airfield in the north of Melitopol and makes this work vulnerable. But in the near future, as a citizen and head of the region, I will help ensure that the airfield functions and becomes a profitable hub for transshipment. I am sure it will also be used for civilian purposes, which will give an economic boost," Balitsky said.
