A member of the Azov terrorist organization was convicted in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The Southern District Military Court sentenced a member of the terrorist organization Azov (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) to 14 years. About this was informed by the press service of the court.
He is charged under article 205.5 ("Organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As the court found, Eduard Cherevan was in the territory of Ukraine in the fall of 2016 and joined the Azov structural division. He took part in the "march of nations" held by Ukrainian nationalists on October 14, 2016 in Kiev. In 2017, he moved to Rostov-on-Don and continued his participation in the organization's activities. Cherevan carried out propaganda work among the residents of the city to attract new supporters. He was doing this until his arrest in January 2023. During the search, he was found to have attributes, symbols and leaflets of the Azov regiment.
The court sentenced him to 14 years in a high-security colony with serving the first five years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that two Russians were convicted of financing an international terrorist organization.
