OREANDA-NEWS A federal emergency regime has been introduced in the Belgorod region due to shelling, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported.
On August 15, an extraordinary meeting of the Executive committee on emergency prevention and response and fire safety was held under the chairmanship of the Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Alexander Kurenkov.
"As a result of terrorist attacks by Ukrainian armed formations in the Belgorod region, residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged, there are dead and injured citizens. (...) I propose to attribute the emergency situation that has arisen in the Belgorod region to a federal emergency and establish a federal level of response," the ministry's press service quoted Kurenkov as saying.
The Minister drew attention to the inadmissibility of raising prices for food and essential goods, instructing the Federal Antimonopoly Service to take an active part in this work.
"I ask you to keep the issues of life support for the affected population under constant control," Kurenkov addressed the members of the ruling commission.
Measures to eliminate the consequences of a federal emergency are financed from the federal budget. The affected population is entitled to payments: one-time financial assistance - 15 thousand rubles; in case of partial loss of essential property - 75 thousand rubles; in case of complete loss - 150 thousand rubles. Payments to the relatives of the victims amount to 1.5 million rubles. For those who have suffered moderate or severe harm to their health - 600 thousand rubles. In cases of minor harm to health - 300 thousand rubles.
On August 14, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that a regional emergency regime had been introduced in the region.
On August 9, the federal emergency regime was introduced in the Kursk region. On August 10, a counter-terrorism operation regime was introduced in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
