OREANDA-NEWS  A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet returned to Vladivostok after joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region with ships of the People's Liberation Army Navy of China, the information support department of the Pacific Fleet reported.

"The crews of the large anti-submarine ships Admiral Panteleev and Admiral Tributs of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) returned to Vladivostok after participating in a Russian-Chinese naval exercise and joint patrol in the Asia-Pacific region (APR)," the message says.

The Navy noted that in 34 days, the crews of Russian anti-submarine ships traveled about eight thousand nautical miles and performed more than 10 combat exercises with the practical use of artillery, anti-submarine and anti-aircraft weapons. Joint patrols were carried out in the northern and western Pacific Ocean.

A joint detachment of ships of the Russian Navy and the Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China left Vladivostok on September 21. From the PLA Naval Forces, the destroyers "Xining" and "Wuxi", the frigate "Lin Yi", as well as the integrated supply ship "Taihu" participated in the maneuvers.
In the Sea of Okhotsk, the detachment conducted a naval exercise "Baby/Interaction - 2024", during which the crews of the ships performed artillery firing and a number of combat exercises using anti-aircraft and anti-submarine weapons.

"In the designated areas, the crews of the ships practiced anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defense tasks with the practical use of weapons, as well as other exercises, including rescue at sea," the message says.

It is noted that, after completing the patrol, Russian and Chinese ships made a business call at the port of Qingdao in China, where for several days Russian sailors participated in cultural and sports events.
