OREANDA-NEWS A demonstration against the supply of weapons by Western countries to Ukraine and for peace took place on Tuesday in The Hague, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
On Tuesday, demonstrators protested against the supply of weapons to Kiev by Western countries to the building of the House of Representatives (lower house of Parliament) of the Netherlands in The Hague. The banners that the protesters brought with them read: "No weapons for peace," "No war with Russia," "Western leaders are provoking World War III," and "NATO missiles are killing civilians."
"I don't understand why we have to fight. I do not want any weapons to be supplied there (to Ukraine – ed.). I don't want people to be killed. I don't want people to suffer. I believe that supplying weapons is not the way out," one of the protesters, a Dutchman named Ruben, said in an interview with the agency.
In his opinion, the parties to the conflict should start talking to each other at any cost.
"I know that Russia has always wanted to negotiate. We have always been open to negotiations in Russia," the source added. The action was held peacefully under the control of police officers.
Last Sunday, a similar protest action was held in Amsterdam, dozens of people took part in it.
