OREANDA-NEWS  In Buryatia, investigators opened a criminal case after poisoning 14 people with shawarma, which was bought at a food outlet in the village of Petropavlovsk. 

The Prosecutor's office monitors the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the conduct of control and supervisory measures by authorized bodies, the department stressed.

On November 28, it became known about the mass poisoning with shawarma in the village of Petropavlovsk in the Dzhida district. Doctors hospitalized 14 people. All those poisoned were diagnosed with salmonellosis, they had previously bought shawarma at the kiosk "Shawarma in lovash".
