OREANDA-NEWS  Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov (LDPR) introduced a bill to the House of Parliament on the protection of the honor and dignity of teachers. 

According to the law "On Education in the Russian Federation", state policy and legal regulation of relations in the field of education are based, in particular, on the principles of recognizing the priority of education and ensuring the right to it of every person, the inadmissibility of discrimination in this area. Chernyshov suggests adding to this the protection of the honor and dignity of the teaching staff.

"In conditions when education becomes more accessible, and educational programs are implemented with the active use of e-learning and distance learning technologies, the risk of encroachments on the honor and dignity of teaching staff increases," the explanatory note says.

The parliamentarian recalled that during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the importance of increasing the social significance of teacher work.
