OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2016. As part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to providing Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members safe and modern facilities in which to live, work and train, 2nd Canadian Division Support Base Valcartier will receive \\$6.5 million in funding to improve Base training infrastructure. Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Jean-Yves Duclos; and the member for Louis-H?bert, Jo?l Lightbound, made the announcement today on behalf of the Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan.

The amount awarded will be used for improvements to two projects in Base training areas so that they may be safer and used to their full potential: the restoration of two bridges and the relocation of the grenade range.
