OREANDA-NEWS György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister told Hungarian television channel M1 that migrants are continuously attempting to cross the border from both the Serbian and the Romanian side.
According to Mr. Bakondi, illegal migrants are arriving in Romania from two directions: from Serbia and across the Mediterranean.

He added that the Romanian coastguard currently apprehends numerous migrants.

In theory, the Balkan route is closed and the deal between the European Union and Turkey is in effect; but practically, activity witnessed on both the Romanian and Serbian section remains continuous.

Mr. Bakondi further said that on the Serbian-Hungarian border section, 30-120 migrants attempt to enter the country on a daily basis.
