OREANDA-NEWS More than 400 thousand people have moved from Lebanon to Syria over the past two weeks, the Gulf Today information portal (UAE) reported on Monday, citing the Syrian crisis center.

According to him, "since September 23, more than 300 thousand Syrians who lived in Lebanon and more than 102 thousand Lebanese have crossed the Lebanese-Syrian border."

The situation in the Middle East remains tense. Since the end of September, Israel has been actively launching airstrikes in southern Lebanon and Beirut, destroying the infrastructure of the Shiite Hezbollah movement.

The Israel Defense Forces also announced the launch of limited ground raids against Hezbollah targets in the border area in southern Lebanon.
