The number of cases of infection with the omicron strain in Russia has tripled over the New Year holidays.

The surge in the incidence of COVID-19 due to the Omicron coronavirus strain indicates that this option will continue to spread throughout the world, including in Russia. This was announced on January 11 by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
