OREANDA-NEWS It is planned to create about 200 thousand jobs in Siberia by 2030 and attract more than 6.5 trillion rubles of investment within the framework of the government-approved development strategy of the Siberian Federal District (SFD), the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, held a meeting on the development of the SFO. "The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the government had adopted a strategy for the development of Siberia and approved a plan for its implementation. As part of the strategy, it is planned to attract more than 6.5 trillion rubles of investments by 2030 and create about 200 thousand jobs," the message says.

According to the report, 41 priority projects have been selected at the government level in the district. More than a trillion rubles of investments have already been invested in their implementation and 20 thousand jobs have been created. Now, on behalf of the Prime Minister, the list of investment projects is being clarified and updated, according to a press release.

In addition, Patrushev instructed to accumulate all important initiatives of the regions for the development of the Siberian Federal District and, after working through, send them to the government, audit investment projects and send proposals to the Ministry of Economic Development and the Analytical Center by October 9 to adjust the list. The Ministry of Economic Development has until October 11 to summarize the information and send it to the government, as well as update the development strategy of Siberia and adjust its implementation plan taking into account the national goals outlined by the president.

The Deputy Prime Minister also took the initiative to reflect projects of curation and individual development programs in the strategy. In particular, he noted that in such areas as ecology and agriculture, the formation of new national projects is being completed. Regions that will provide regional co-financing and attract extra-budgetary funds will be able to enter them, the message says.

It is clarified that the meeting in Novosibirsk was attended by the Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev, the heads of all ten regions belonging to the Siberian Federal District, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Alexander Kozlov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva.
