OREANDA-NEWS  Over the past day, forest fire services have extinguished 104 wildfires throughout Russia on an area of 66,036 hectares, according to Avialesookhrana in the Telegram channel.

"According to the information of the regional dispatching services of forestry, over the past day on 07/18/2024 in 22 regions of Russia, forest fire services and involved persons eliminated 104 forest fires in the area covered by fire, 66,036 hectares," the message says.

By midnight on Friday, there were 193 forest fires on the territory of the Russian Federation on an area of 363,157 hectares, which were actively extinguished. The largest area of fires was recorded in Yakutia - there were 62 fires on 297,636 hectares.
