The main world competition for those who love and know how to work with their hands started about an hour ago in Kazan.  WorldSkills World Masters Championship is attended by masters from 63 countries.  Especially for them, the local exhibition center was converted into laboratories and factory floors.  The Russian team today wished success to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

 WorldSkills 2019 World Championship will be held August 22-27.  Kazan was chosen as the host city of the championship at the WorldSkills International General Assembly in Sao Paulo in August 2015.  For this right, she competed with Paris and the Belgian Charleroi.  It is expected that about 1.3 thousand young people under 22 years old (in some competencies - up to 25 years old) from 63 countries will become participants in the championship in Kazan.  The best will be determined in 56 competencies.  The main venue for the competition will be the Kazan Expo international exhibition center.  In total, more than 200 thousand people are expected to attend WorldSkills Kazan 2019 championship events.

 WorldSkills International is an international movement whose goal is to popularize working professions, increase the status and standards of professional training and qualifications around the world.  Russia joined WorldSkills in 2012.
