OREANDA-NEWS Restrictions on the use of airspace in the Volgograd region have been lifted, the airport has started working, a representative of the airport's press service told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Governor Andrei Bocharov said that at night the air defense forces repelled a UAV attack on the territory of the Volgograd region near Marinovka, most of the drones were destroyed. Due to restrictions on the use of airspace imposed in the region, Volgograd Airport temporarily suspended the reception and dispatch of ships.

"Restrictions on the use of airspace in the region have been lifted. Volgograd Airport has started operating normally," he said.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, restrictions on the operation of the airport were lifted at 10.30 Moscow time. "During the period of time restrictions, there were no "departures" of aircraft to alternate airfields," the agency reported on the Telegram channel.
