OREANDA-NEWS. Russian women's national team on fencing on sabers won gold medals of the European championship in Düsseldorf.

In the Russian's final Sofya Velikaya, Yana Egoryan, Sofia Pozdnyakova and Olga Nikitina won a victory over representatives of Hungary with the score 45:34.
Teams of France and Italy fought for bronze medals. Fight in a duel for the third place was given by more fierce, than in the final. Frenchwomen won a difficult victory — 45:42.

For Russian national team this medal became the sixth at competitions. Let's remind, earlier gold medal was won by the fencer Veniamin Reshetnikov. He defeated the compatriot Kamil Ibragimov with the score 15:7 the final match.

The European championship which takes place in the German Düsseldorf will come to the end on June 22.
