OREANDA-NEWS The coaching staff of the Russian national team, headed by Valery Karpin, announced an expanded squad for friendly matches with Vietnam and Thailand. This is reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

There are 38 players on the list, among them PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, forward Herman Onugha from Danish Vejle and midfielder Daler Kuzyaev from French Le Havre. Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin and Spanish Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan will miss the training camp due to injuries.

"Alexey Miranchuk, who recently signed a contract with the American Atlanta, has a difficult logistical situation. We decided to give him time to settle into the club and establish his life in a new country. Fedor Chalov has a similar situation," Karpin said.

Earlier it became known that both meetings will be held in Hanoi. On September 5, the Russians will play Vietnam, and two days later they will meet with Thailand.
