OREANDA-NEWS. The Presidium of the All-Russia Athletics Federation (ARAF) resigned. This is stated by the press service of the organization on February 3.

The decision was made in accordance with the recommendations of the Olympic Committee of Russia and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and on the basis of decisions taken by the commission of the Ministry of Sports of Russia on state accreditation of all-Russian sports federations.

It is specified that the activities of the ARAF did not lead to its restoration in World Athletics. It was also decided to transfer to the current working group of the national Olympic Committee on the restoration of membership of the ARAF in the international federation the authority to organize and hold an extraordinary election conference, scheduled for February 28.

An authority to interact with World Athletics, Athletics Integrity Unit, World Athletics working group and other international organizations has been delegated to the Olympic Committee working group.
