OREANDA-NEWS. The President of Ukraine Congratulated the National Football Team on the Victory. «I knew that today, both on my own behalf and on behalf of the whole of Ukraine, I would write exactly these words, regardless of the result: We were rooting for you with all our heart! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are proud of you all over the country», – wrote the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

He belives, that this is «a great happiness to write it after the victory!». Zelensky believes that the Ukrainian team can reach the final of the European Championship-2020. The President noted that the national football team is those who «show character, strength, fight, suffer painful blows and pain, but stand up and fight back».

Recall, that the Ukrainian team beat the Swedes with the score 1:2. The Ukrainian national team has reached the quarterfinals of Euro-2020, where will play with England in Rome on July 3. Shevchenko's team, which has never been out of the group at the European Championships, repeated it's best achievement in history with the 2006 World Cup at the cost of incredible efforts and an injury to Artem Besedin.
