OREANDA-NEWS. The State Duma adopted in the third and final reading a law on simplification for people with disabilities to receive measures of social support and public services.  This was reported on the website of the lower house of parliament.

 Citizens with disabilities will no longer have to prove their disability on paper.  Help for social support and public services can be submitted to relevant authorities in electronic form.

 The government noted that the law is connected with the launch of the state information system "Federal Register of Disabled Persons".  The necessary information will be provided by the Pension Fund in electronic form in compliance with all information protection standards.

 It is noted that if the registry does not contain the necessary information, a citizen with a disability will be able to submit paper documents to the relevant authorities.
