OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian men's volleyball team beat the Brazilian team in the semifinals of the Olympic Games and reached the final. The meeting ended with the score 3-1 (18:25, 25:21, 26:24, 25:23) in favor of the Russians.

During the third set, the Russian national team was able to recoup, losing by a score of 12:20. Brazilians are reigning Olympic champions. In the final, which will take place on August 7, Russian volleyball players will face the winner of the match between the teams of France and Argentina.

As part of the Russian national team, Maxim Mikhailov scored 22 points, Yegor Klyuka - 15 points, Ivan Yakovlev - 12 points. The Brazilians have 18 points scored by Yoandi Leal.

In 2012, Russian volleyball players beat the Brazilians in the final match of the Olympics in five sets, winning gold medals. Then the Russian volleyball players managed to recoup from the score 0-2.
