OREANDA-NEWS  On July 10, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova lost to the representative of Belarus Arina Sobolenko in the match of the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon. The meeting ended with a score of 6:4, 6:0. The duration of the meeting was 1 hour and 13 minutes.

After Alexandrova's departure, there were no Russians left in the women's tournament. Earlier in the first round, Camilla Rakhimova lost to the Spaniard Kristina Buschke, and Lyudmila Samsonova lost to Ana Bogdan (Romania). In the second round, Veronika Kudermotova failed to get the upper hand over Marketa Vondrousheva (Czech Republic).
