Russian Figure Skaters-Winners Returned to Moscow from the World Cup
OREANDA-NEWS. The flight with the Russian national figure skating team on board landed at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport, the athletes returned from the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, where they won three gold medals out of four possible ones.

The World Championship was held in the capital of Sweden on March 24-27. The Russians won three golds - Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won in pair skating, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov in ice dancing, and Anna Shcherbakova (gold), Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (silver) and Alexandra Trusova (bronze) made a splash in women's singles skating taking the entire pedestal. The sports couple Aleksandra Boykova / Dmitry Kozlovsky also won bronze medals.
Russian figure skater Anna Shcherbakova, who won gold at the World Cup in Stockholm, among others performed with a show number on the last day of the championship.
After the successful performance of the program, the American Nathan Chen appeared on the ice and handed the newly-made world champion a birthday cake decorated with cold fountains in honor of her birthday - on Sunday the gold medalist turned 17 years old.
