NHL Players Staged a Mass Brawl Over an Attack on a Russian Goalkeeper
OREANDA-NEWS Players of the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins staged a mass brawl over an attack on Russian forward Igor Shesterkin in a National Hockey League (NHL) match. The meeting ended with a victory for the Rangers with a score of 5:2.
The Canadian forward of Pittsburgh Jeff Carter knocked down Shesterkin. This provoked a scuffle at the gate. The Rangers goalkeeper could not get off the ice on his own for some time, he needed medical help. Shesterkin was later able to continue the game.
