Neymar Became Second in Brazil’s Top Scorers List
OREANDA-NEWS. The match of the second stage of the qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in South America between the national football teams of Peru and Brazil was held in the city of Lima at the Estadio Nacional del Peru. It ended with the victory of the Brazilians with a score of 4:2.
Hat-trick in this match was made by Neymar. Thus, the Brazilian striker became second in the list of top scorers in the national team with a result of 64 goals. He overtook Ronaldo, who had scored 62 goals during the period from 1994 to 2011. Legendary forward, three-time world champion Pele, who had scored 77 goals in 1957–1971, is the top scorer of the Brazilian national team.
In the next qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup, the Brazilian national team will play with the Venezuelan footballers. It will take place on November 12.
