Moscow Police Detained a Man Involved in Shooting of Football Agent Bezzubov in Riga
OREANDA-NEWS A 55-year-old man suspected of involvement in the murder of football agent Roman Bezzubov, who was shot in Riga on April 14, 2021, was detained in Moscow. This is reported by MK.
According to the newspaper, the police stopped a Latvian citizen on Novokuznetsk Street in the center of the capital. He was wanted.
On the afternoon of April 14, in the Riga microdistrict of Purvciems, Bezzubov was ambushed when he drove his car to Gunara Astras Street. Criminals from a black BMW X5 with tinted windows opened fire on him. The car was later found burnt out. Latvian investigators stated that the murder of Bezzubov is of a contract nature and is connected with the professional activities of the murdered man. Within 10 days after the crime, several people were detained, whose identities were not disclosed.
Roman Bezzubov played as an attacking midfielder for Latvian Daugava, Jurmala and Venta, as well as Albanian Bulis. In total, he played 139 matches, in which he scored nine goals. After completing his career, he became a football agent, his services were used by former players of the Latvian national team.
On February 24, more than 200 flights were delayed and canceled at three Moscow airports — in Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo.
At Vnukovo Airport, 16 flights were delayed and 17 canceled, seven flights were delayed and 96 flights were canceled in Domodedovo, 18 flights were delayed and 50 flights were canceled in Sheremetyevo.
