OREANDA-NEWS Well-known boxer Wladimir Klitschko and his family fell into a fire in the Mediterranean. According to the German news agency DPA, a fire broke out on a ship that was heading from the Spanish island of Ibiza to Mallorca.

The yacht was about 11 kilometers from the coast.

The Spanish coast guard came to the aid of the athlete and his family, everyone on the yacht was rescued, the Mallorca’s fire department took control of the situation.

The fire occurred in the engine room, but what exactly was its cause is still unknown.

In the Spanish sea rescue service, it was clarified that a Spanish-flagged yacht was found drifting ten miles (about 16 kilometers) from the port of Adriano.

The ship Salvamar Acrux delivered her to the port of Adriano, where the fire was extinguished. There were nine people aboard a yacht that caught fire in the Mediterranean, no one was hurt.
