OREANDA-NEWS  Artashes Harutyunyants, President of Rostov Football club, announced the resignation of Valery Karpin from the post of head coach of the team.

"Valery Georgievich Karpin is leaving the post of head coach of the Rostov football club. This difficult decision is dictated by the need to focus as much as possible on working for the Russian national team. The interests of individual clubs cannot be above the interests of the national team representing our country. I thank the Government of the Rostov region for their understanding and support in making this difficult decision.
We have warm and friendly relations with Valery Georgievich Karpin and Alexey Anatolyevich Ryskin. Since 2017, when our club found itself in an extremely difficult situation, we have always supported each other and tried to do everything possible for Rostov to continue to delight the fans with their victories. I am sure that our relationship and level of support will remain the same in the future.
It is difficult for me to overestimate the huge contribution that Valery Georgievich has made to the development of Rostov football and FC Rostov in particular during his seven years of work at our club. I wish Valery Georgievich good luck and hope to see the success of the national team in official matches as soon as possible. The rest of the coaching staff remains at Rostov and will continue to combine work at the club and the national team," the Rostov press service quoted Harutyunyan as saying."
