OREANDA-NEWS Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova beat compatriot Lyudmila Samsonova in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), an updated version of which is published on the organization's website.

Last week, Alexandrova lost to Croatian Donna Vekic in the first round of the tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. Having risen in the ranking, she became the third racket of Russia. Samsonova also failed to overcome the first round, losing to Czech Barbora Krejcikova.

Daria Kasatkina remains the first racket of Russia, she is on the eighth line.
