OREANDA-NEWS. Baku Higher Oil School hosted the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe presentation ceremony jointly organized by Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku City Circuit, operator of the races. Head of BHOS Students’ Affairs Department Habiba Sadigli welcomed the guests and underlined the fact of formation of positive image of Azerbaijan due to hosting significant international events and competitions.

The head of Baku Formula 1 fan club and founder of the website f-1.az Rahim Aliyev gave detailed information about forthcoming event. He said previously 21 countries hosted Formula1 Grand Prix of Europe and the races organized in Baku would be distinguished with its uniqueness. Throughout competition, cars will be heading along Baku Boulevard and circling around historical Old City (Icheri Sheher). Rahim Aliyev also said that more than 500 million TV spectators and fans of Formula 1 would focus attention on Baku turning the capital of Azerbaijan into global spotlight. Then attendees saw videos of Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe.
