OREANDA-NEWS. Adidas has created a new kit for the Russian national team, in which it will take part in the European Championship. The t-shirt is made in red and white colors. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

“Working together with the fans and the RFU, Adidas has created an updated jersey design, making it classic and laconic, using the two traditional colors of the home uniform of the football team - red and white,” the statement says.

Fans who bought the previous version of the home kit will be able to exchange it for a new one for free until September 27, 2020 in the company's stores.

Most of the players of the Russian national team, as well as the coaching staff and the leadership of the RFU were unhappy with the new form, presented in November last year. This is due to the quality of the T-shirts and their designs. In particular, the Russian tricolor on the sleeves was in reverse order.

Adidas said this was done on purpose. “The colors line up in the flag of the Russian Federation with the hands of the players and fans raised up, triumphant at the moment the goal was scored,” the company said. As a result, it was decided to redo the T-shirts.

The European Championship, which was scheduled for this summer, has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
