OREANDA-NEWS. Consulting company Deloitte prepared another Global Powers of Retailing rating, which ranked 250 of the world's largest retailers in the twelve months ended June 30, 2019.

Five Russian players are present in the new rating, while the largest of them have significantly strengthened their positions over the past years: X5 Retail Group is already in 42nd place with revenue of $ 24.4 billion, Magnit is in 51st with $ 19.4 billion. In addition, Lenta took the 159th line with $ 6.6 billion, M. Video - 201st with $ 5.1 billion, Dixy - 215th with $ 4.7 billion.

Deloitte analysts do not lead to special reservations about the state of the Russian retail market, as it was, for example, in the crisis year of 2015. Russia remains one of the fastest growing markets in the world for large retail, says Deloitte's CIS partner Vladimir Biryukov.

In the previous ranking, the fastest growing Russian retailer Deloitte analysts called "Lenta", which a year ago even was one of the top ten most dynamically developing companies.
