OREANDA-NEWS VTB has completed the integration of the Otkritie office network - 245 branches in 60 regions of Russia have changed their signage, the VTB press service told RIA Novosti. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Otkritie Bank has ceased operations.

"VTB has completed the transfer of Otkritie branches under its brand," the VTB press service said, adding that the integration of the two banks in terms of the office network started in December 2023, as a result of which 245 branches in 60 regions of Russia changed their signage.

"Today we are completing one of the largest projects in the field of banking infrastructure, its geography covers almost 70% of the country's territory and is represented from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. As a result of the integration, most of Otkritie's branches continued to operate under the VTB brand, with the exception of duplicate offices. This has significantly strengthened the bank's infrastructure, regional representation, and made it even more accessible and closer to our customers," said Ruslan Yeremenko, a member of the VTB Management Board.

The first Otkritie branches changed their signage to VTB in Omsk, Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiysk, Moscow and Ufa in December 2023, the last ones on December 27 in Anapa. Most of Otkritie's offices have joined the VTB network in the Central Federal District – 61 branches, 59 in the Ural Federal District and 41 in the Volga Federal District, the report says.
It follows from an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities that Otkritie Bank ceased operations "through reorganization in the form of incorporation" on January 1, 2025.

At the end of 2022, VTB acquired 100% of Otkritie Bank shares from the Central Bank for 340 billion rubles. Since last year, the bank has been actively transferring Otkritie's clients. As reported by RIA Novosti in VTB in early December, Otkritie Bank was expected to join BM-Bank in January. And the merger of the united BM Bank with VTB, which was planned for May, is likely to be postponed to a later date. The Board of Directors of Otkritie Bank has decided to terminate the powers of Mikhail Alekseev, the head of the bank, effective December 31, 2024.
