OREANDA-NEWS. Vostochny Bank refused to sell the stake in Luxembourg IFTG to Parus Marine Fund Charles Ryan for 2.6 billion rubles, follows from the response of the credit institution to the Parus Marine proposal.
IFTG owns shares in several financial companies operating in the stock markets - ITI Capital and ITI Funds, Finvale marketplace and 2can & iBox acquiring startup. Evaluation of this package in another transaction previously led to criminal proceedings against the founder of the Baring Vostok, Michael Calvey and his colleagues.
At Vostochny Bank, the Russian media confirmed receipt of an offer from Charles Rain. Vostochny asked Parus Marine and Ryan to review the offer price. The bank believes that they cost 3.7 billion rubles, writes Vostochny’s presidency, Vyacheslav Harutyunyan, in response to Parus Marine and Ryan. This amount is summarized as follows:
The terms of the offer by Parus Marine also assumed that the bank would return the money to him if the ownership of the fund by IFTG shares would be affected in legal proceedings. In this regard, the bank asked to confirm the sources of funds for the transaction.

- 2.6 billion rubles - loan issued by Vostochny to the First Collection Bureau, which was repaid against the value of IFTG shares transferred to the bank's balance sheet. This transaction became the basis of the criminal case against Calvi. The bank was granted victim status in the case, recalls Harutyunyan. The investigation considers the valuation of shares in the framework of the transaction overstated.
- 1.1 billion rubles - the funds that the bank paid to the first collection bureau for “fictitious services”, writes the head of the “East” (which isn't specified). “Thus, the total loss associated with the acquisition of shares is 3.7 billion rubles”, the letter says.
