Volume of Funds with Participation of Capital of Russian Venture Company Reached 64.4 Billion Rubles

OREANDA-NEWS. The volume of funds created with the participation of the capital of the Russian Venture Company (RVC) increased by 32% in 2019 and reached 64.4 billion rubles, the RVC press service said on Monday.
“In 2019, RVC continued to create new venture capital funds managed by professional market teams, as well as improve the institutional environment of the venture capital market. At the end of the year, the total amount of funds created with the participation of RVC capital increased by 32% - from 48.8 to 64 , 4 billion rubles", the report said.
Investments in portfolio companies during this period amounted to 1.3 billion rubles, and the total volume of transactions on exits reached 2.3 billion rubles, which is 35% more than in 2018. Today, the Russian venture company includes 29 venture funds, including the New Industry Ventures fund, a fund with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, which was created jointly by Gazprom Neft and co-investors, as well as a fund with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to support promising educational technologies.
Among RVC's other partners in the creation of new funds are the investment company Terra VC, the State Transport Leasing Company and Russian Railways (Russian Railways).
